Good Omen

An unamed conspirator has convinced me to try a blog for this trip to keep friends and family updated during my travels.
My last night in the states was an incredible send off. I spent the evening with my wonderful and amazing friends. Thank you guys! Then I stayed the night at the coast. Through sheer good luck I saw ocean bioluminescence making the waves glow an amazing electric blue all night long.

These aren't my photos. Unfortunately. But this is exactly what it looked like.
I haven't made up my mind how to describe it. It was like a meteor shower, fireworks show, or maybe an aurora borealis....but in the ocean. In the OCEAN! Dinosaur tracks!

It was so beautiful. So unearthly. So bad ass!
A good omen for my year ahead.
